Changes to Family Law Financial Disclosure Deadlines
Financial disclosures are an integral part of the Family Court process. From September 1, 2021, onwards the new changes to the timelines for financial disclosures are in effect. It is important to know these updates to ensure that the required documents are filed by the due date. The changes can be reviewed on Courts of Justice Act, Ontario Regulation 114/99, Family Law Rules, Rule 13: Financial Disclosure.
Before a case conference, settlement conference, motion or trial, a party to the case should provide or update their financial information.
The following table provides the timelines on when a financial statement (Form 13 or Form13.1) should be served for respective court appearance:
